It seems you have to download the app to a phone (yes, I have a smartphone but I don't want the Venmo app) and it is not available on my Windows 10 PC, not that I want it on that either. Why is there no straight payment option as there is with 'justgiving' and similar?So, to avoid getting loads of rubbish from Venmo and possibly having the problems described in other reviews, I am sending someone a good old fashioned cheque as a present. So there Venmo.
