This didn’t happen very recently, but it still makes me angry and is the reason I hate them so much. I’ll never recommend or speak favorably about them. My sister’s account was hacked, and the hacker fraudulently requested a refund for a $40 transaction that my sister and I had both agreed on. Venmo sided with the hacker, wouldn’t give me my $40 back. When I tried taking the issue up with customer service, I was blown off with some explanation that my sister had requested it, even though I included a screenshot of a text conversation with her stating that she’d been locked out of her account and unable to access it. Stealing money from someone in this society and economy is just plain evil, I refuse to forgive them. I hope they become obsolete
