I’ve just had an unbelievably frustrating experience with Uber Eats UK.I placed an order through the app, and the restaurant appeared to accept it. After waiting over an hour, I got a call from the delivery driver telling me the restaurant never actually accepted the order and had run out of the items I chose. When I asked to speak with the manager, they told me they couldn’t cancel the order from their side.Left with no choice, I had to speak directly with the restaurant and settle for a completely different dish — one I never wanted and that definitely wasn’t worth the £18 I paid.To make things worse, Uber Eats' support was absolutely useless. Just a stream of robotic, copy-paste responses with no real help or solution. And when I asked to cancel the order, they had the nerve to charge a cancellation fee — even though the issue wasn’t my fault at all.I ended up overpaying for food I didn’t want, with zero help from Uber Eats. This is not just bad service — it’s negligent and borderline unethical.I won’t be using Uber Eats again unless they fix their customer support and actually take responsibility when things go wrong.
