I booked an Uber to take myself and my wife from our hotel in Ealing to Buckingham Palace. This was booked ten days beforehand. I received confirmation, and was told the driver would contact me 25 minutes before the collection time. I received no contact from the driver, and 10 minutes before we were due to be picked up I received a message on the Uber app to say the journey had been cancelled; no reason was given, nor was there an apology. We had to urgently book a replacement taxi at considerable expense. This was the first time I have used Uber, and it will certainly be the last!
