I run a legitimate tourism business and was shocked to see that TripAdvisor allowed a 1-star review on our page that clearly violated their own content guidelines. The review contained personal insults, defamatory claims, and multiple breaches of their stated policies.Despite flagging the review several times and attempting to contact TripAdvisor through every available channel, I received no proper response. There is no real way to speak with someone or escalate the issue. The review remains online, damaging our reputation and making a mockery of the platform’s so-called moderation system.This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I strongly advise against using TripAdvisor as a business owner or a traveler—it’s unreliable, opaque, and offers no real support.
