As others have stated, The Times lures you in with a ridiculous offer of £1 for 3 Months or something along them lines. When you have read the terrible, often biased article which you initially wanted to read, you then have to call up a call centre to try and cancel your subscription. They'll try to persuade you to stay on their service under the guise of "Feedback". When you push back, they offer you a discount for 3 months in the hopes that you will stay on and accidentally get charged another £26.The comment sections on the articles are a whole thing within itself. The blatantly controversial articles have the comment section closed as to avoid people pushing back on their narrative that most newspapers and mainstream media are pushing out. I don't care if people say the times is a conservative newspaper because it isn't, at most, it's paid opposition which doesn't really oppose anything. So yeah, shoddy business tactics, lackluster articles, biased narratives and control of the reader voicing their opinions leads me to believe this service isn't worth any money at all. Get your journalism from an unbiased source because the times is DEFINITELY not that.
