Broadly speaking i enjoy the editorials and the majority of the columnists currently working for the Telegraph, specifically Sherelle Jacobs, Janet Daley, Con Coughlin and Allison Pearson. These elements of the newspaper, in my opinion, help to maintain it's reputation and tradition for carefully considered Conservative (and sometimes Libertarian) viewpoints.Unfortunately (pardon the pun) there is a huge elephant in the room regarding it's woefully lop-sided, possibly partisan, coverage of the U.S. election, and American politics in general. In fact i would go so far as to say that the pro-Biden/anti-Trump coverage, specifically from Ben-Riley Smith and Rozina Sabur is a festering ugly sore and an embarrassment to the paper and to journalism as a whole. Ever since the disgraceful impeachment fiasco i've been studying the American political situation quite closely and have been utterly disgusted by the anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-democratic, pro-violence, authoritarian behaviour of the Democrat party and their friends in the media.I'm not looking for Trump cheerleading, but it would be nice to see some balance from a Conservative newspaper, especially when commenting on a nasty, radicalised bunch of left wing politicians whose behaviour in the past 5 months makes Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party look like a nice bunch of cuddly centrists. A clear-cut genuine threat to western democracy we should all be concerned about. The omissions and lazy assumptions in the U.S. correspondents' columns are staggering to behold, almost as if they are copying and pasting talking points from discredited propaganda merchants like CNN! No mention of the Hunter Biden potential corruption scandal exposed by the New York Post. No mention of the DOJ investigation into the Obama government/ F.B.I. spying on Trump 2016 campaign allegations. No mention of Joe Biden advisors along with Kamala Harris raising thousands of dollars to bail out violent criminals (ie. Minnesota Freedom Fund) to repeat the egregious offence of burning down their own neighbourhoods, in some cases torching black owned businesses. So much for 'anti-racism' protests! No mention of Joe Biden's infamous 'You Ain't Black' slur on a radio show presented by a black man, for which Biden never apologised. No mention of the known actual white supremacist and neo Nazi Richard Spencer endorsing Joe Biden for president. Imagine the media circus and the hounding of Trump that would ensue if the roles were reversed, yet Biden gets off scot free yet again. More than one sneering dismissal of mail-in voter fraud in order to contradict Trump once again. Ignoring the fact that this scale of postal voting has never been attempted in an American general election before, therefore there can't be a precedent for mass voting corruption with this method. Even so, there have been multiple examples of mail in voter fraud already this year. 1) New Jersey postman charged - Democrat Primary. 2) Ballots sent to voters' dead pets in swing states. 3) Project Veritas (James O' Keefe) uncovering paid Democrat operatives illegally harvesting votes in Minnesota & Texas.I would also add Hilary Clinton's recent poisonous and spiteful advice to Joe Biden to NOT accept a Trump election victory under ANY circumstances, even a clear landslide. Much worse than Trump's daft ambiguous response, which you of course gleefully reported. No mention of the ridiculously high Covid death rate in the state of New York, thanks to Andrew Cuomo's terrible nursing home policy which has been copied by other Democrat governors, resulting in high death rates in their own states. On the other hand, Republican controlled states Florida & Texas have recorded much lower Covid death rates, which in Florida's case is more glaring seeing as they have a very large elderly population and an overall higher population than New York! So if Trump is supposed to take all the blame for Blue State high death rates, should he be afforded some credit for the relative success of the red states? Or is it simply a case of woeful Democrat governors playing anti-Trump politics whilst neglecting the health and livelihoods of their constituents. Governors Cuomo and Gavin Newsom (California) actually praised Trump in April for his Federal support, eg. supplying ventilators, naval ships (largely unused) and PPE, before they, particularly Cuomo, did a dramatic U-turn to blame Trump for everything and absolve themselves.Added to all of these omissions are the ridiculous recent puff pieces about Joe & Jill Biden containing not a hint of criticism and i have to ask: Does the Telegraph endorse this one-sided coverage? If the answer is yes, i'm afraid i can no longer buy it or subscribe to it.
