Absolutely outrageous subscription practices. Trick people into taking cut price subscriptions and then obviously hope they forget to cancel when renewal comes around. I have, like many others, just been billed €299 for a subscription I do not want and would never knowingly pay for. Cancellation is made as difficult as possible. I thought I had cancelled my subscription online only to discover that it is actually cancelled for August 2025. In other words not cancelled at all! More sharp practice. I am shocked that a national newspaper would engage in such shoddy practices. As I live in the EU I will certainly look to see if any EU legislation can be used to combat this chicanery.
