I'm writing this as a warning for potential students to stay away from Teachable. I enrolled in a course I wasn't sure about but felt safe due to the 30 day refund policy Teachable offers. I started the course, it was rubbish (the school had much better content on their free YouTube channel) so I emailed the school owners for a refund and no reply. I emailed again and no reply. After a couple of weeks I started looking for how to get a refund through Teachable. And this is where the nightmare begins.I could not find a way to contact Teachable. You just go around in loops with their stupid knowledge base. I ended up googling around and coming to Trust Pilot and being horrified that so many people have the same issue. I finally found a direct email here on Trust Pilot and emailed them.I was told to email the school even though I had already tried multiple times. I emailed the school and no reply. Back to customer service who told me to email them directly rather than through Teachable. FFS ok. Did that, still no reply. Getting annoyed by now, demand refund from Teachable who say they cannot refund me, it's up to the school. But they will look into it. All I have to do is send them the screenshots of all the times I contacted the school. What now? Apart from the last time (and of course that was outside the 30 day refund period) I had emailed the school via the platform as requested by Teachable themselves and am now told there is no record of messages kept and that I should have screenshot all my messages. W T F? So they instruct you to message THROUGH THEIR PLATFORM knowing full well the messages are not kept anywhere and then request proof of the messages knowing full well there are none. SCAMMERS! I've now been told to take it up with my bank. Please do yourself a massive favour and stay away from Teachable, total scammers.
