I have been a long time Target shopper, moved by Target's commitment for representation of underrepresented groups. I went to my local Lynnwood Target and noticed despite Target's recent eliminations of their DEI programs, they are still trying to profit off the illusion of supporting the black community.However I will not shop at an organization that proports to support these groups while simultaneously cutting internal programs that actually support these groups. Yes, representation matters, but so does backing it up with internal policies and external messaging that support and protect said groups. Be bold and make a stand. Corporations are people, aren't they? So say something, not just profit off the representation of these groups.
