Kicked out of my premium membership but still paying

My boyfriend and I share a premium subscription. After a few notifications on my phone that I need to check my address, which on my phone led me nowhere, my account simply got removed from our shared account. This happened within 7 days from receiving the first notification. Now we are still paying together, but only my partner has the premium account. When we tried to reach out we were sent to a forum which simply states that failing to adjust your adres leads you to be unable to join a subscription for 12 months (!).Switching to a different provider has never been so tempting.
