I signed up for Small PDF a year ago, the product itself was good for the task I needed it for. Without realising I unwittingly agreed to an auto renewal. They took £81 today though there had been no notification that the service would renew - which is completely unacceptable. I contacted them requesting a cancellation and refund. I received a very quick response refusing and telling me to check the terms and conditions and that they wouldn’t be refunding me. I replied informing them that I would pursue a chargeback with my bank if they didn’t refund me. They did then refund me - so make sure you don’t take ‘no’ for an answer if you’re in my situation. When refunding me they also reiterated that I’d signed up for the auto renewal and that actually they had communicated to me about the renewal - and to check my junk. Well I have checked and it’s not there - you need to do better on your customer communications. I can see from the other reviews that this is commonplace.
