When you search online for "file compressor pdf", you'll get a lot of scammy, spammy pdf converters which *seem to be free*, but after converting your pdf they force you to pay money for their shit service before letting you download the pdf. And oftentimes, they'll try to charge you WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT and take a yearly subscription of $50. What makes Smallpdf different is they don't take this nasty approach. First time around, at least, they let me upload and convert my pdf as usual, but they only encouraged me to purchase AFTER they let me download my pdf. Also, their pdf tool is INSANELY GOOD (took my 40MB file all the way down to 489kb, which is basically a 99% reduction). I am very grateful, and I fully recommend these guys
