Shopify is a scam and will never help you if your website has been compromised! Do NOT build a website via using their platform since their customer service is horrible! The only way you can communicate with them is via a live chat in which 1/2 the issues cannot be resolved then they tell you someone will email you soon and they do and inform you they Someone from a diff department will be contacting you shortly! How? Via email! Surprise ! An email you can’t even email back and there is no phone number to talk to an agent! My website was compromised since Nov 2021 , someone hacked into it changed ownership name , added a bank account and sent out drafts for thousands of dollars 💵 Shopify claims they have programs to detect fraudulent activity but they don’t they are liars! This wouldn’t have happened to me if that was the case! I spent time and money and effort building my website and now it’s all in the trash. Shopify could care less their main concern was that as soon as I was able to re- log in (which I still can’t since they had advised me to use two factor authentication to protect my website , which never sends out the 10 digit code to my email - and now they put the blame on my email provider) and they promise they will disable it and they don’t! Shopify is the biggest scammer of all time with no protection for the consumer and no real-time support! Don’t waste ur time going there! I suggest using WIX
