And, since the new part was "printed" in metal, it is far superior to the hard plastic from which the (failed) original part was made.This is the way to go for spare parts: forget those stockpiles (and non-availability) of spares. After the warranty period, manufacturers should be required to make CAD files available so that replacement parts can (continue to) be made (printed) on demand.
