Samsung Freestyle Projector

I received the Samsung freestyle projector as a gift (brand new). I used it about 5 times then all of a sudden it stopped projecting an image. I went and spoke to a Samsung agent online via the chat service, who told me the closest repair center was in over an hour away (the Sunshine Coast; I live in Brisbane). I thought that seemed crazy so I took it into the Samsung shop at Chermside near me. They told my they could send it of to repair much closer (in Brisbane) but that it wouldn’t be covered under warranty as I didn’t have a receipt (due to it being a gift). In the end the guy working couldn’t figure out how to put the projector into the system as he hadn’t done one before. So I had to take it to the repair center myself. Upon arrival at the repair center they informed me they don’t do projectors, just phones, TV’s etc. I went back online to speak to a new Samsung agent who told me of another center even closer (in Northgate). So I took it there where I payed $55 for them to inspect it. They just got back to me saying the repair will cost $750, even though I know they were selling for $850 brand new. The whole process was exhausting and clearly Samsung didn’t know what they were doing or where to send it. I am really hoping Samsung will pay for the cost of the repair as it is clearly a manufacturing issue.
