I have just returned from a Staycation on board Anthem of the Seas with 2 elderly parents.Unfortunately I was unaware of the cabin location ( cabin was allocated by RCC )& it led to problems as my father nearly collapsed with the distance to the lift.I went to ask the staff on customer service desk for help & they stated that they couldn't offer a wheelchair (as the ones on ship are only for emergency......) but they could offer a room change. This was fine for mobility but not for COPD issues. We tried their way but on day 2 as we were walking away from the restaurant once again my father nearly collapsed, this was witnessed by the manager of the restaurant and within the space of 10 minutes a wheelchair was found. Why did it take the intervention of another manager before anything was done?????I know help was given but it was given too late. Left the cruise early as my father did collapse in the cabin....
