Preply fixed Poor Experience with after complaint on Trustpilote

June 23, this an Update about the complaint that was written below on Jun 21after their reply to go back to the customer services after more than 30 minutes between 2 agents they finally retrieved and returned the classes back. Thank you Preply for understanding but the policy of the 28 day of expiration is unfair and not necessary. in fact I left a feed back suggestion for this matter. I make it 4 stars only fairly because of the back and fourth and when i asked the first time they rejected me. ---------------------------------------------------------------Poor Experience with Preply - Beware of Credit Expiration PolicyWarning: Unused class credits expire after 28 days with no refundI had a frustrating experience with Preply's credit system that cost me significant money. Here's what happened:I initially signed up for a 4-class package, but later accidentally upgraded to 12 classes when I only had an agreement with my teacher for 8 classes per month. While I acknowledge this was my mistake, Preply's handling of the situation was disappointing. The main issues:Automatic expiration: Any unused class credits expire after just 28 daysNo flexibility: Credits are lost permanently with no option for refund or extensionOngoing losses: I lost 4 classes every month for 6 consecutive months due to this policyPoor customer service: When I finally contacted support after 6 months, they only restored 6 classes out of the 24 I had lostI lost approximately 18 paid classes (24 lost minus 6 restored) due to their rigid expiration policy. While I understand that some expiration policies exist, losing paid credits after just 28 days feels unreasonable, especially when life circumstances or scheduling conflicts prevent you from using all classes immediately.Recommendation: If you're considering Preply, be very careful about:Only purchasing the exact number of classes you can definitely use within 28 daysSetting reminders to use credits before they expireReading the fine print about their expiration policyThis experience has made me reconsider using their platform in the future.
