I had 2 issues that Parallels solved. First, I didn't want to purchase another Quickbooks, and my existing one would not work with Big Sur. It does, however, run just fine on Mojave. Second, I've been using Supercard since Hypercard first came out and have lots of custom workflow apps built using it. Supercard would not run on Big Sur, nor would it in the future (32-bit vs 64-bit issue). Both Quickbooks and Supercard work great running Mojave with Parallels. Even though there's a recurring subscription fee, it's a lot less than what Quickbooks wanted, and there was no other solution for Supercard.
