Made the switch from Windows laptop to MacBook Air M1

I have been using Windows based computers/laptops since the first PC. Decided at this late date it would be cool to switch over to a MacBook Air with the new M1 chip for a variety of reasons; Learning OS would keep me sharp, better integration with my existing iPhone and iPad and to take advantage of the M1 chip and superior graphics. Love the Air so far. I needed to be able to use some of my favorite, most used Windows stuff. Didn't get along with Quicken for Mac and needed the Windows version which I've been running since Quicken inception. Also FileCenter and some other Windows specific Apps.I bought Parellels and the first version of Windows 11 from Microsoft. I've had it a bout a month now and am pretty impressed. It boots right up quickly, Windows is pretty fast as are the Apps running under it. I have had no issues with hangups or crashes and all of the features or the MacBook Air (sound, wifi, peripherals, bluetooth, external drives etc.) work very well in Windows virtual mode. Very happy with the whole switch so far, only downside is the yearly subscription price for Parallels and the cost of buying Windows from Microsoft. All in all a satisfied user.
