Their product is bad and so is customer service

Their product is bad. Keeps showing lower ambient temperature. Their customer service is even worse. Multiple chats and multiple calls. They kept asking me to do stuff that is typically meant for the nest showing "higher" temperature (as per the search results on google and nest forums for nest temperature issues). Same questions asked again and again.. is it in direct sunlight/near a vent etc. One chat agent disconnected after I kept asking for a supervisor instead of re-doing the same checks again and again (feel the back of thermostat if it is hot, is it hot on one side ? etc.) After getting a run around for 2-3 days I was told that I would get a "refurbished" replacement. They said they would put a hold on my google pay account for price of the nest till I return the nest. I told them this never happens with any other vendor (as an example, I exchanged multiple expensive monitors without having to go through this kind of hold ). Other option (if I don't choose the hold) is to send the nest and they will send a replacement after that, during which time I won't have a thermostat to control my HVAC. I told the agent that Google's device is bad, service is bad and return process is bad and I am in the process of considering another thermostat and throw this one in garbage. At this point, agent says I had three strikes against me and hung up without processing my return/exchange. Awesome customer service ??. BTW, they asked me to put my own thermostat next to the nest and submit the picture to prove that I was not lying about the temperature. Did I say I bought it in April after looking at all the raving amazon reviews ?
