What a load of rubbish it is. Moved into a house 11 months ago where NEST had been installed on gas fired heating system. We quickly learnt that this thing has a mind of its own and despite setting a time for heating to come on it will decide its going to pre-heat for hours for some reason. It was quickly turned to a manual thermostat only having been woken up on many occasions by the boiler pre-heating !!!!!Even then the thermostat doesnt seem to read the correct temperature all the time and the house gets cold or hot.Stick with what you know and keep a traditional timer with a decent thermostat that actually measures what the air temperature is. You will save yourself time, money and heartache trying to work out what the hell is going on with the stupid thing. Dont expect that you will be able to schedule the heating to come on when you want it, it will pre-heat and apparently that is economic even when it does it for hours!!!Absolute junk, i cant give zero but i suppose it looks alright. Techie gizmo that no-one wants, dont buy it becuase it looks good that is just vanity and there will be pay back.
