On 8/21/24, I got a security alert from Microsoft. I was asked in the email to recover my account.For over a week, I tried every thing Microsoft asked me to do to recover my email with no success.I have tried using the authenticator and it would not open/keep buffering.I tried using another method using code sent to my phone, with no success.I have filled the online recovery form 6 times only to get an automated message saying that "Unfortunately, we have determined that the information provided was not sufficient to validate your account. We have taken an additional step to block your account" On 9/3/24, I filed a complaint with BBB asking for help.Microsoft did not respond.On 9/8/24, I filed another complaint with BBB.This time Microsoft responded and said that the case has been escalated to an Escalation Manager by the name of Javier.As of today 9/13/24, my email account is still locked by Microsoft.My life has been a night mare and on stand still.I am unable to receive update on my job search from both Zip Recruiter and Indeed and friends and family on important matters.I am unable to authenticate all my accounts that was tied to the email.I have even suggested to sign a waiver to relieve Microsoft of any legal responsibility of any security breach after my account is unlocked.My life has been hell and it hurts me to be taken hostage my Microsoft since 8/21/24.Yes, the were trying to help me, but ended up holding me hostage.Other Companies including my banks have been able to send me a link to reset my Pass Word.The sad thing is that i have been a paid subscriber for 3 msn.com emails for over 20 years.Going forward I will stay away from anything Microsoft.!!!!!Phone number: 9187702824.
