I received a damaged item due to very poor packaging on the seller's part and immediately messaged the seller as there was no option yet for me to request a return through Mercari. I had to leave town for the weekend and when I got back I discovered that Mercari had already approved my purchase even though I had told the seller that there was damage to the tablet and it no longer worked! Then when I contacted customer service they said as per their policies once I confirm and order there's no option for refund, but I didn't confirm it, Mercari had! There is no other online reseller customer service that I have ever encountered who didn't have other options available for returns and refunds when the seller is not responding. They kept saying there was nothing they could do which is absolutely ridiculous
