I signed up for 12 months coverage on 5 Feb 2021. On 7 January 2022 McAfee debited my paypal account $95. I am unemployed & on a strict budget so this unexpected & unauthorized debit has put me into overdraft at 15% interest until I receive my next unemployment payment. When I called McAfee a very helpful woman explained that McAfee debit a month before renewal to ensure the client has full coverage. When I explained that their deep concern for my coverage had caused me financial distress & I required an immediate refund I was quickly offered 60% discount for 2022, beginning from February 5. I would rather eat glass than give any more money to this company. The refund was processed & the customer service lady avoided answering when I asked if the funds would be immediately available, and I can now inform you all that it is because they are not. I am still waiting for the funds and I am still in overdraft. People all around the world are suffering financial hardship at the moment and McAfee thinks it is acceptable to help themselves to their client's funds ONE MONTH earlier than required. Disgraceful.
