McAfee used to be a decent, responsive company. They have turned into an ABOMINATION, if not an outright FRAUD. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY!!!!! They are among the two WORST companies I've ever dealt with, and that's saying something.They have allied themselves with outright scammers, who ANSWER THE McAFEE SERVICE NUMBER, so I assume that McAfee is in bed with the scammers. Their "service reps" lie constantly--in fact, all they do is lie--and they are ignorant, or pretend ignorance, of even the basics of their customers' subscriptions--like how many a customer has, which devices the subscription allegedly protects, when the subscriptions expire, and when and how much customers have paid for the subscriptions. If the reps don't like what you're saying, they tell you they're going to "transfer you" to some other department, and simply leave you with dead phone air,The level of McAfee incompetence, service negligence, and general thievery cannot be overstated. GET YOUR COMPUTER PROTECTION FROM SOME OTHER COMPANY!!UPDATE, NOV. 11, 2023: Two or three different reps swore that I'd get a refund of $87 on my credit card for a bogus charge of $600 (McAfee insisted that the company who charged me the fee was a "scammer"--who just happened to answer their phone lines and appear on their own account statement). Of course, I received no refund whatever. Not that I should have agreed to accept such a disgraceful offer--but after listening to their lies and double-talk in 10 calls, they wear you down.They then plastered about one-third of my desktop screen with an ad that could not be deleted unless you clicked on "Done" at the bottom. There was no other option if I wished to see and use my screen again. A service rep assured me that clicking on "Done" would not reinstate my account, but no doubt she was lying. I'll find out soon enough. THERE IS NO SCAM TOO LOW AND DESPICABLE FOR McAFEE!!
