I have had the same experiences as I see many have with Mc Afee. My Asus Zenbook 14 computer came with it pre-loaded. I however had issues with my Asus and whilst it was under warrantee it was crashing continuously with Excel. It had a 16 GB ram but with Excel only there was an issue.Long story short I took it to the reseller and after a few months they said the cost to repair was 70% of the price I paid and thus they would rather I took another Laptop. I never received it back however and as the issue I had wanted attended to was a broken shift key I had not done a factory reset as it was to be a keyboard replacement. I took another brand. Mc Afee however kept auto renewing and although I have turned off auto renewal it has cost me the equivalent of $1000-00 this past year...and being in South Africa they appear to have no presence here, there is no e mail address and the telephone number listed is incorrect and so I am unable to get a refund despite the support pages saying it is simple.. just call.... well enough said. Norton however made it so simple and offered assistance and reduced costs etc.. all done online and true to their word. Thus be aware and be afraid... If you get a PC with it pre installed immediately go to Mc Afee and turn off auto renewal and remove Mc Afee.
