Think Twice Before Scheduling with the Mayo Clinic

I called today to schedule an appointment to be seen at the Mayo Clinic. I have good health insurance which is accepted by the Mayo Clinic. I was told that I would NOT be able to schedule an appointment and to go back to my primary doctor. I was told that my symptoms don’t qualify for an appointment.I have Never heard of this - I wasted 30 minutes on the phone scheduling an appointment - just to be told that they won’t be able to schedule any appointments for me. If you are considering going to the Mayo Clinic - you might want to think twice - apparently you need to have certain symptoms in order to get an appointment.
