Mayo is mostly among the best of the best. Mostly. They have some great physicians except for the ones who aren't. So, they hired a boob, I should be able to make a complaint and get a second opinion but that is where a break down occurs. I made a complaint and amended the doctor's notes but apparently the Patient Experience Office sent "my issues" to the department head without the amendment and don't intend on sending the amendment along. Oh, and whatever they sent to the head of the department they won't share with me because what supposedly came out of my mouth is for internal use only, they will only say that the Department Head concluded that I shouldn't allowed to see a different Neurologist in the future. Is there a second level complaint process? Nope, I am just supposed to go away, even though all my labs and procedures and all my fantastic doctors who wanted me to see a neuro are at Mayo. Patient Experience is a block to complaints not an assistance to patience.
