I had a terrible experience with Macys credit card, I guess this company is doing fraud stuff with innocent customers. I have an add on credit card of Macys through my husband's account for last 10+ years and I do most of my shopping through that card, after pandemic situation hit, I didn't shop from macys for a while and in April of 2021, I went to shop in Macys willowbrook, NJ location, upon using my existing card which got decline, the customer care person said that since I didn't shop in Macys for a while my card got closed, which was a big surprise as I didn't shop for just over a year. Anyways, I went with the customer care suggestion and opened a new credit card and got some 20% discount as a new card holder, the lady told me to hold on to the slip till the physical card come home. However after months of waiting I never received any card or details. I started to get phone calls from Macys asking me to pay my card and literally I had no information of the card and they kept charging me late fees and interest while I was waiting all the time to get my card. When I realized that Macys never sent my card home and I had no way to double check my account, I started to get calls after calls asking me to pay. I kept requesting to send my card home and I will verify and pay, instead they cancelled my card and kept increasing interest of late fee. They did not consider any fault from their end when I informed that I still didn't have my credit card number or any information. Eventually I paid full amount and interest charged to me of late payment as Macys kept calling me day and night making my life hell. I had to pay interest for payment without any fault of mine. Is this customer care or do you think I will ever shop in this place..Never. I never write a bad review unless it has some genuine reason. Macys stop making money this way, you are only shying away good customer and not being able to handle professionally.
