I started working as a Lyft driver three days ago and I've noticed that the fares seem disproportionate. Lyft charges customers a hefty sum, yet only pays drivers like me around $2.60 to $3 to drive 8 miles for a pick-up, and then another 5 miles for a drop-off. This doesn't even account for the cost of gas. If these rates continue, I'm concerned that I won't be able to cover both my car rental charges and fuel expenses. At this point, all I want is to recover my costs. I don't plan to drive for them again. I refuse to be a slave
