I want to file a formal complaint against a Lyft driver and dispute all associated charges.(see phone number below On Oct 7 at 9:13 A.M I was picked up by Melissa. The pick up occurred at114 34 197 Street , Saint Albans, New York 11412.The destination was supposed to be 450 Lakeville Rd, Lake Success,( aka New Hyde Park) New York . My prior arranged ride never arrived. Therefore timing to get to my destination was crucial I was going to have surgery. Below is the essentials of my conversation with the driver:ME: "Do you have the address where we a going?"Driver:"Yes" Me : "Do you know how to get there?"Driver: "I am following the GPS" After 10 minutes of driving I told herMe: "You are going in the wrong direction. I drive this route often. You need to go to exit 25 on the Grand Central Parkway That is the opposite way"Driver: " I don't feel safe with you "Me " I am just giving you correct directions" She then pulled over to the curbMe: Okay ,If you do not feel safe or do not want to drive to the destination I booked ,then take me back to where you picked me up at my house" She exited the car and the next thing I knew there were two policemen, which she apparently flagged down ,who were now ordering me out of the car. They said that she was not obligated to drive me either to my destination or to where she originally picked me up. This meant I had to order another ride share, then go back to my house ,quickly get my own car just to get to a surgery ,even though I would be later sedated. Lyft is charging me for this ride , which I am contesting. It also means that any LYFT driver can arbitrarily put you out of the car any where, any time. Needless to say my relationship with LYFT is over! She should be banned from driving. Unfortunately LYFT has no means of direct email or customer service contact
