We will never do a home improvement project with Lowes again. Our first one was 9 closets and was supposed to be a 6 week job which turned out to be 9 months because they made mistakes that had to be corrected every step of the way from door arriving broken or the wrong size or not primed, to them scheduling appointments without checking with us, to delivering materials in the rain and leaving them uncovered outside our house without calling to let us know they were there (we were home). Some weeks I had to speak with Lowes several times to correct one mistake after the next. We then needed an exterior door and the installer who actually was good quit so they assigned a different one who had to first come out to take new measurements because they lost the store lost the original ones. Unfortunately he put in the order completely wrong which the store noticed and corrected but also had the hinge on the wrong side requiring the door to be completely remade. Given all the mistakes we asked for a different installer and they told us that he was the only person in the area so we hired an outside installer who discovered that the door needed additional materials so it would fit properly something we were not told by Lowes. We are still working on getting the rest fixed. They blame everyone but themselves and no one knows what the other parts of the process are doing. Working with Lowes on home improvement projects is a nightmare. We will never do this again.
