False advertised incurs $200 loss.

A two weeks ago I purchased an in-wall air conditioner from Lowe's based on the copy writen description in their on-line catalog. Lowes described the unit as 8,000 BTU & 230v operation. I reviewed the specs on line and could not much information. I went ahead and ordered it. To speed up the installation I installed a 230v circuit as would be required. When the unit arrived it had a plug that would not fit a 230 circuit. I contacted the the Manufacturer which revealed they did not make a 8000 BTU in 230v. I replaced the circuit to accommodate the purchased unit. I subsequent notified Lowe's of 1) the error in the ad and 2) a requested that I be reimbursed for the cost of installing the 230v circuit (approx $200). I was offered a $25 ecard. Nothing was said about changing the ad. I told them that the offer was insulting and that if they could not do better, even though they were negligent in the ad copy, that I would seriously consider not doing business with them in the future.
