I purchased an LG ultra large turbo washer and dryer 2-1/2 years ago costing $989 each piece (on sale). The washer started making a loud noise during the spin cycle, so I called an LG authorized dealer to diagnose the problem. It ends up that it's the bearings going out and will cost $780 to repair. LG says it's over 12 months old so it's my cost but they will gladly order the parts. SERIOUSLY LG!!!??? The dryer has a bad sensor and again, it's my cost to repair as it's over 12 months old.To sum it up, I paid a total of $2,306 which included the washer, dryer, hoses, tax, etc. and they only lasted 30 months.... so it's cost me $76.86 a month to own an LG washer & dryer and now I have to either spend over $1,000 to repair both, or go buy a new washer and dryer.... that definately won't be LG. Washers & dryers use to last 30 years. Then it went to 10-15 years, now you're lucky if you get 2-1/2 years LG has lost any quality they may have had previously. My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM LG UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY!!!
