It is important to realize that Kickstarter is a company that prides itself in taking funds for simply allowing people to sell air. One must realize that Kickstater does nothing to vet projects or enforce any kind of fulfillment. Nothing. So any money one spends to fund a project has every chance of disappearing. That's not to say it will as many projects eventually supply something. But the sole responsibility is with the creator of the project and not with Kickstater. Roll the dice but if the project fails to deliver don't expect Kickstarter to do anything because they won't.
