I will never use Holiday Inn again after this. They say they offer the lowest price online and if you can find cheaper within 24 hours, then they will give you the first night free.
I found their hotel cheaper on Amoma. £163 a night inc breakfast, rather than £215 a night inc breakfast. Rang them to ensure EXACTLY the same and it was, booked it, reported within 24 hours as stated, but they wriggle out of honouring it
NEVER trust IHG, Holiday inn, Crowne Plaza etc, I have used their hotels many times, but this will be the last - I even asked the person on the phone when booking if they would try and get out of their guarantee free night, as if they were going to I would book elsewhere, she assured me their guarantee was good, it was not though, con merchants
Do not offer such a guarantee if you do not honour it
I would not recommend anyone take notice they are the lowest price as they are not, and then if you book and expect them to honour the free night, do not expect that either
