I have been staying at IHG hotels for years always booked via a third party because our company requires us to do it this way although I specify the hotel I want to stay at - it just gives our company one invoice to pay. I have earned points and never had a problem. I stayed at The Coldra in Newport and gave them my number they said they would add the points but haven't done so when I queried with IHG they said not in their policy so I wont be specifying them again. I tried doing a review on their website but according to them they can't verify I stayed either by my name, my colleague's name or booking reference. It is shambolic!
