HP doesn’t honor their warranty

Bought an HP laptop online less than one year ago on line from Best Buy. The hinge on it (to open and close) broke which also caused the screen to crack. Best Buy told me to contact HP as it should be covered under warranty. I contacted HP and at first they tried to claim it wasn’t covered under warranty because of the time elapsed. When I presented to them a copy of the invoice, they then said that the damage incurred is not covered under warranty. Whatever they can do to try and screw the customer is their motto. Don’t buy a HP product nor from Best Buy is my recommendation. Lots of other options out there.
