At least it's representative of the state of the UK's civil service and bureaucracy.Latest impasse was encountered attempting to submit an Employment Related Securities (link was misspelled "Securites") return: clicking the link (on the Business Tax Account homepage) simply logged me out of Government Gateway and redirected me to the login page. This occurred consistently on each of 4 web browsers, in/out of incognito mode, with/without cookies enabled. The "problems logging in" troubleshooting section does not stretch to "problems once you've logged in", the webchat bot couldn't help, the Digital Technical Support Team offered their "sincere apologies" and nothing else, and after an infuriating 1/2 hour listening to hold muzak, the last resort customer service helpline "doesn't deal with technical problems".Prolonged exposure to the gov.uk website could cost me my job, or at the very least, my sanity.
