I’ve had a terrible experience with GoDaddy and would strongly advise others to avoid them. They completely mis-sold me a “website security” package on top of my hosting, which ended up costing double the price of the hosting itself. It was pitched as essential for keeping the site secure, but it turned out to be an overpriced upsell with little transparency.To make matters worse, my site has experienced multiple instances of downtime, and the SSL certificate has failed several times, making the site inaccessible and damaging trust with visitors.When I reached out to support, I was told I couldn’t get a refund for the remaining months of the annual plan I paid for upfront. So not only am I stuck with a service that doesn’t deliver, but I’m also out of pocket for it.Extremely disappointing from such a large provider. There are far better, more transparent, and reliable options out there.
