Horrible customer service.

I recently tried to update maps on my Garmin nuvi 50. The operation wiped out all my maps. I tried to call customer service and could not find a number. I emailed and we ended up emailing for about 8 days. I was sent incorrect information about how to proceed. I sent my telephone # 3 times and asked them to call me but they refused to do so. Each time I emailed it took 24 hours to get a response. This was totally ridiculous and could have been solved in a 3 minute phone call. I finally got an answer but by this time I did not trust the person giving the advice. I was told I needed a memory card but was not told what memory card to buy so of course I bought the wrong one. I finally found a telephone # and called. He seemed really annoyed to be talking to me. I did get the issue resolved with my 3 minute phone call. The customer service is horrible. If I could give then no stars I would. I will probably never try another update on this device as it was really traumatic.
