Blood in the sheets is all good for Expedia

Expedia is a complete scam when it comes to customer service. You’d think booking through a major platform would give you some level of protection—but the truth is, they only care about the hotels, not the customers.We arrived at our hotel to find black mould in the shower, unknown substances smeared on the walls, and blood-stained sheets. The place was completely unfit for anyone to stay in. Naturally, we reached out to Expedia, thinking they would stand behind their customers. We couldn’t have been more wrong.Their customer service is completely outsourced overseas, and not a single person actually read our emails or took the complaint seriously. They kept giving us scripted responses, making it seem like they were looking into a refund—only to eventually come back and say:"Sorry, we couldn't contact the hotel, so we can't help you."So, according to Expedia, black mould, filth, and blood-stained sheets are completely acceptable conditions for their customers. They take no responsibility for the properties they list and offer zero actual support when something goes wrong.It’s disgusting that a company this big can continue operating like this. If something goes wrong with your booking, Expedia will abandon you. They’re happy to take your money, but the moment you need help, you’re on your own.Do NOT book through Expedia. They will not protect you. Book directly with hotels or through a company that actually values its customers.
