After travelling over 24 hours from Germany back to the US, we missed the connection back to our home city. So at 1am, all hotel rooms seemed booked. I needed something in Charlotte, so I tried different options. At some point the app said I HAVE A ROOM FOR YOU, and I was SO RELIEVED only to get to the hotel, find out they were booked solid and the dates for the room I had booked were IN TWO WEEKS. The Marriott was kind enough to cancel and refund the money... to Expedia -- who did NOT refund me the money for the hotel I booked because Expedia changed the dates on me at 1am in the morning.
