I have been using Evernote since 2012. It was good on both desktop and mobile, but then it started to decline and became almost unusable. While there were some improvements, they only kept it at a basic level of usability. Then Bending Spoons purchased Evernote, and they have done a great job. The app is excellent now. I use it to keep work and personal notes. I notice a lot of people complaining about Evernote's subscription fees. I believe it's fair; everyone working to improve this app deserves to be paid. We all need to earn a living, and that money comes from customers using the product. Is the price too high? It very well could be. If you only use it a couple of times a month to make quick notes or save recipes, there are plenty of cheaper options available. I use it to forward and organize 30 to 50 emails a day, as a planner, and as a file cabinet for numerous items. I utilize almost all of the options and features. Evernote meets my needs, and for me, it is a good deal. To truly find value in it, you need to use it often and take advantage of its features.
