NHL on ESPN+ is terrible. They show 3 screens. The actual game screen is about 30% of your tv screen. Then they have 2 screens which are called star watch where they have a dedicated camera on one player from each team. Anyone that watches hockey knows that a star player plays about 25 minutes out of a 60 minute game so the other 35 minutes of game play time is watching the player on the bench. Totally stupid idea when you are trying to watch the actual game. This is on top of the fact that the ESPN game commentators suck. All this said it is a horrible product especially when last nights Bruins vs NY Rangers game was and ESPN+ product that I had to sign in to Hulu to watch. I prefer to watch the Bruins on NESN, but at least when some of the games were shown on NBCSN it was a good product.
