I've found DuoLingo OK for learning French. Possibly not the best, but not terrible.But the company provides no customer service. Bug reports go unanswered, and the bugs go unfixed.Part of the app asks you to speak, and it performs speech recognition to validate if you have spoken correctly.For months now, since an update in 2023, the app has been giving me a "correct" on about 25-40% of these exercises before I am even halfway through speaking.It's a clear and obvious bug that renders the application almost useless. I have reported it several times and had no response.In the past, they used to tell you what was wrong with your answer if you made a mistake. Now they do not, because they want you to pay extra for "AI" to do that.In fact, on iPad, they placed the upgrade to AI button in a place where you hit it accidentally very often, which is very distracting.I have cancelled my subscription.
