I have dipped in and out of Duolingo for 2 years but I’ve started to use it more recently. Today I have been forced to sign up for a 3 day free family trial or I couldn’t continue to learn and within minutes it ‘suggested’ that if I wanted to continue learning i was to “suggest/allow” some random person to “provide a phone? number”before playing. I have now blocked my contacts and think very little of how manipulative Duolingo has become. It’s a shame as it’s a great app to use but has become VERY invasive and awkward to use!
