Duolingo is what got me into language learning in the first place because it's so easy to start learning! I started the Japanese course and it was just the right pace and i learned a lot (including all the hiragana, katakana and KANJI). Duolingo also updated the app frequently and All OF THAT IS FREE. The haters say that they learned nothing and complain that's a waste of time, it because they do about ONCE PER WEEK you need 5 courses minimum a day. The fact that people complained about it not having kanj and explanations and now there is, just shows how they're caring and listening to the community for improvements. This app changed my life in the second I installed it! And I'm so thankful🙏 thank you so much!
