We started with DD in 2017 and its been Terrible. From having issues with timely pick-ups by the dasher, to having drug addicts show up in pajamas to take orders to having drunk dashers pass out in our dining area while waiting for the order. Just awful service and imagine we pay a 30% fee for this!IF you question a dasher about their name or do you have a hot bag they'll leave you a negative review and act like they are the victim because you (the business) cares about the outcome of the delivery. We have 7 or 8 negative reviews due to this. Always on yelp generally. Sometimes they will tag team bad reviews and tell their buddies to leave as well. And about the dashers name, they often send in a sub dasher. Not approved just a friend they give their phone to and now that person is the dasher. It is sometimes a young child, will at times appear homeless or somebody very unkempt and they are there to deliver your product??Cops have been called. We have had dasher come in threatening staff saying the dasher said we harassed them. when showing the video to police and others of the entire visit and the absence of any such nonsense they just shrug. Police reports and multiple videos of dasher pick ups have been retained as evidence. It had gotten so bad that each dasher pick up is now on video and we check dashers out on each food item making sure the camera sees each food or condiment for those error charges that dash corp charges when items or condiments arrive missing. Missing ranch cup, thats $5 off your merchant payout. The cameras also confirm that all dashers are dealt with professionally because of wild claims from dashers that they are victims of harassment because of asking their name or of they have a hotbag. Many times food has been stolen after leaving, items taken from the order include one slice of pie and not the other, one slice removed from a pizza, french fries eaten down and bag left inside, dashers trying to simply take food off counters and actually walking out the door!, Stealing ranch or ketchup packets. going to multiple employees to try and obtain more items, reeking like weed or pee and with the worst attitudes. Dropping the order in the parking lot then coming right back and expecting us to remake??Much less showing up in beater cars being held together with clothes hangers, unregistered vehicles and trash falling out of car doors when opened. Dashers will occasionally send a very young child in to grab the order. they are two feet tall and don't know what to do, they aren't dashers. When not given the 3 boxes of hot food the parent will storm in and with a bad attitude attack whoever wouldn't give up the order to the child.Normally many dashers do not have hot bags for food to be kept hot and fresh. No actual concern that the food they are delivering is someone's dinner or lunch. Sometimes an entire order checked to a dasher never makes it to guest and dasher is MIA not to be seen again!Of the 100 or so dashers over the last almost 7 years we have three or four reliable, polite, "on it" dashers. The percentage of good is very small and the money you receive for this service never seems worth it. Door dash corp is slow to engage and get these bad dashers out. Never telling you outcome or corroborating with you although because of you (the merchant) they are able to make money and dashers make their money from your business efforts.DD calls it self a data or software company. I believe that to be accurate and don't think it'll last in its current state. A very poorly run company, with a group of renegade mercenaries that go unchecked and actually damage the symbiotic relationship they have with merchants. Now that's a contradictory business plan!
